I decided that there is no point in any sub-divisions and grouping, because I follow all of them as an RSS stream, often without recognizing which blog do I read exactly.
- Steph Ango - Obsidian CEO. I like his thoughts on how software should be built
- Wait but why - one of the non-expiring blogs, I first read the post about Why Procrastinators Procrastinate and it still a must read now
- Archives - Bartosz Ciechanowski - easily the best explanations of how simple things work, sometimes just one blogpost per year. Actually, one of my reading goals is to catch up with the archive.
- Chamath Palihapitiya | Substack - I follow his what I read this week newsletter. There are also incredible deep dives, but these are behind a steep paywall
- Tech Blog - machine learning engineer with a writing talent. Her manuscript was one of the first I read to understand embeddings, but I like many of her essays.
- Stay Vigilant | Richard Excell | Substack - about (macro)economy and markets in plain English and stock charts
- Bits&Chips - digital newspaper about the state of the industry in the Netherlands.
- Top Comments | Hacker News - Hacker News is a very specific community where I do not belong, but reading their most popular threads helps being informed about literally everything important in the world of IT and start-ups
- CSE Developer Blog - written by the Microsoft’s Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team. It proved useful to prepare for interviews with their Amsterdam department some time ago. Even despite not being hired, I keep reading relevant articles once in a while.
- Hamel Husain’s Blog - very practical content on LLM evaluation
- Uncharted Territories | Tomas Pueyo | Substack
- Overcoming Bias | Robin Hanson | Substack
- Experimental History | Adam Mastroianni | Substack
